When A Tree Falls In The Forest...
I have been thinking about a career change and doing more science writing. The question I have for my fellowers; would there be any interest in a science blog and if so would anyone be willing to subscribe to it?
We all spend countless hours writing for free and because it is fun, but it would be wonderful to be paid for our efforts.
What do you think?

It would be tricky, but you could do it. Basically, you'd need to dumb down the content and make it applicable. Or, at least that's my take. I'd gladly read it, but if I need to do a Wikipedia search just to kind of get it, I'll quickly stop following. Hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteMakes perfect sense. Thanks for the input.
DeleteSpeaking strictly for myself, while I find some things about science fascinating, but I don't know if it's enough to hold a continued interest. Of course, I'm always interested in learning something new. That doesn't really put me on any particular side, does it? Again, my input proves useless.
ReplyDeleteThis coming from a techie? ;)
DeleteI think you will need to be better at marketing than science. That said the Internet needs good content.
ReplyDeleteAlways welcome suggestions on marketing.
DeleteI can only hope that I can provide it.
I'm there. Maybe think about focusing on a particular science niche though. Does that make sense?
ReplyDelete:) Supportive as always. I have been thinking about a few ideas. Any suggestions of what you might find interesting?
DeleteLately I'm interested in "things cut in half." In case you're not already familiar, there's a twitter account: @halfpics. It's simultaneously amusing, disturbing and educational. Does that spark any ideas?
DeleteNope. The market seems saturated. There's already an account with things cut in half.
