Addendum: There were two more videos posted here, which have been taken down by Youtube since I posted them. Of course, I am now contemplating Murphy's law and thanks to a fellow blogger, Robert the Skeptic, for alerting me.

Humorous Video. The Living With Cats Edition, revised.
Remember this? Still wondering why you are waking up before the alarm goes off? Or why you are still feeling tired when you do? This may serve as a little reminder. Provided that you actually live with cats, otherwise you may have other issues.
Author's disclaimer: I do not play silly games like hide and chase. I certainly do not play throw pen off the table and I will pick it up until feline tires of it, nor do I give up my favorite chair, just so furry can nap a few more minutes. In addition, I do not use words like "cute" when they block out the light with a paw over their eyes while sleeping. Obviously, I also do not watch "cat videos". The author of this blog denies any such ludicrous allegations.

I know this experience all too well, for which reason I try to leave my cats behind a fixed and closed door especially on nights when I hope to be able to sleep in. It'd be really amusing if it weren't so true.
ReplyDeleteBut when they cover their eyes they are SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteIt appears "cat vs potato" and "can vs blu ray" have been yanked from YouTube for copyright violation.
ReplyDelete@Elisabeth, closed doors do not prevent them from waking the humans. We live with them, not the other way around.:)
ReplyDelete@KevD. I know. WHAT? I mean...uuum...shot op.
Robert, thank you for letting me know. Took them off, but noticed that the "claimant" is the same as the person who posted them to begin with.
ReplyDeleteStupid future.
naww... so cute. Love it.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't do any of those thigs either.
Honest.
=^..^=
Sprite, I won't tell, if you won't tell :)
ReplyDeleteOne loves the Simon Cat animations.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! That was brilliant. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dog wakes me up but doing this indignant little growl while looking at me like "WHY are you not catering to the princess????"
@Laoch, one loves them too.:)
ReplyDelete@Katsidhe, nice meeting another willing human slave.
I'm not sure who the cartoonist is but clearly, I am being spied on in the mornings. Of course, there was the obvious omission of the dog trying to french kiss the drool out of my mouth before it has a chance to reach my pillow but that was surely the animator's feeble attempt to misdirect me.
ReplyDeleteNari, I frequently feel like I'm being watched too. I meant by our pets, of course.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when the clips get pulled. Sorta ruins your post. It happens too often. I really think the lawyers get too much of the action. I've had a few of my own youtube clips that use background music just identify the artist and offer a link to sell the music. That's a better way to handle it.
ReplyDeleteSorry to have missed the other videos but this animation is really a delight. Not presently residing with or among cats, still that doesn't exclude me from the club. I may have to, ahem, borrow the cat what-do-you-call-it from Alittlesprite.
ReplyDeleteLisleman, hi. Yes, it kind of did. How social media, copyrighting and the public domain will handle the internet remains to be seen. Did not have much of an option without the videos though.
ReplyDeleteMarylinn, I think you'll enjoy his other vids as well. The bbc used his animation in a commercial. This is an all inclusive band, ownership of instruments or pets are not required.
ReplyDeleteI believe you are referring to the ginormous beast Moby.
That video is exactly why the last pets I owned were goldfish (that & the fact that they were all the landlord will allow).
ReplyDeleteVinny, yeah, about that. Can a goldfish help you with your gackle situation?
ReplyDeleteomg. That is a perfect composite of my last two cats. DAMN CATS!
ReplyDeletehed
Closed doors? Ha ha ha, you jest! A firmly closed door merely makes the interminable body-slamming safer for your precious little boo-shnookums! This video was soooo accurate except one of my little love-buckets has a thing for deep-pore cleansing of the proboscis. Hey, at least she doesn't find my eyelids irrisistable anymore.
ReplyDeleteDid not expect the baseball bat at the end. Very funny and clever.
ReplyDelete@hed, hello. Looks like a shared experience:)
ReplyDelete@Lord Wellbourne. LOL. A colorful description of manipulative creatures in our lives. The things we tolerate for love:)
@GutsyWriter, neither did I the first time I saw it. He is clever, isn't he? Observant artist's eye.
SO EXCITED!!! Guess what? I saw the little Wren I saved today! She is still alive! Still no tail, but ALIVE! Happy :)
ReplyDeleteI think Marylinn means the kitty emoticon I made.
ReplyDelete=^..^= <(meow!)
Sadly, against the dreaded grackle they'd more likely be the main target.
ReplyDeleteVinnyC, it's all about misdirection. Give you time to ruuuuuuuun.
ReplyDeleteSprite, WHAAAAAT? Don't tell me it's the blue fairy wren? You have those? Mail coming!
ReplyDeleteSprite, mail.
ReplyDelete=^..^=
Yes, the kitty emoticon...couldn't think of the word. Most charming.
ReplyDeleteAnd for real...flying penguins that migrate to South America? Very goosebumpy and wonderful. Thank you.
Marylinn, Ah. I stand corrected. Sprite is very creative.
ReplyDeleteThe BBC actually ran the ad a few years ago for April fools, delighted everyone. There is a joy to it.
