Monday:
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
I see dead people.
Tuesday:
Houston, we have a problem.
You can't handle the truth.
Elementary, my dear Watson.
Wednesday:
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War room.
Go ahead, make my day.
Are you talking to me?
Here's Johnny.
Thursday:
Make me an offer I can't refuse.
Do or do not, there is no trying.
I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
The only winning strategy is not to play the game.
Friday:
There's no place like home.
Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
Yippee-ki-yay...
I'll be back.
Saturday:
Birdie Num Num.
Sunday:
Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in.
*kick*
I often quote "Birdie Num Num" and the only ones who laugh are my husband and son. And yeah, I can say it like he does. Lol
ReplyDeleteYup. That pretty much sums it up. My sentiments exactly. Especially for Sundays.
ReplyDeleteNapalm in the morning is still better than Grandma anytime.
ReplyDeleteYou missed.
ReplyDeleteInfamy!
Infamy!
They've ALL got it infamy!!!
Love that you included 'The Party'. One of my all time fave movies!
Birdie num num!

Sunday....by far the best for me!!
ReplyDeleteFriday... Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
ReplyDelete@Kelly, lol me too.:)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I'm the only one laughing.
@Vinny, it's universal, even when the job is great.
@Al, you have to take your grandma to work?
@Alistair, not familiar with it. What is that from?
Sellers was a comic genius. Love the party.
@Jessica, hello. Birdie num num to you too.
@Barb, how come?
@GaelicWife, LOL.
Yes. I know, my dear, I know.
This post was just plain cool.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'll be back.
like it.
ReplyDeleteI always loved: "Assumption is the mother of all F**Kups"
Can be used for any day :)
So many GREAT ones in there! Now are you saying that you watched all these movies that week? Cuz if so, I want your job.
ReplyDeleteAl's "imfamy" line was from a Carry On film ISTR. Did you see this, you might enjoy? http://e-clecticism.blogspot.com/2010/06/throw-me-line.html
ReplyDeleteWow. Flashbacks! "Go ahead. Make my day." And you did! ;)
ReplyDeleteThose are some good movie quotes. Whenever I think of "Here's Johnny!" I think of The Simpsons episode, and whenever I think of "Make me an offer I can't refuse" I always think of the Styx song (which has different punctuation, "Make me an offer; I can't refuse. Make me respectable." Anyway, fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorite: "I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."
ReplyDelete@dbs, *Clap*
ReplyDeleteIt's quotable by now.
@Sprite,
good one, what is that from?
Couldn't fit my favorites in there.
"Chickaaan. Good." ;)
@Dr.Cyn, absolutely. Training for my second career as a movie reviewer.
I'll put in a good word for you.
@Jono, thank you, haven't watched it. Good?
Thank you again, I'll have a look. Seen a few 100 favorite quotes, don't always agree.
@Paul, it was fun trying to fit them into something that made sense. My favorites didn't.
@Robert, same here. I initially tried to do something with favorite quotes, but had to settle for the famous ones. Which are among my favorites, I suppose.
@Jayne, oops.
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Glad I did.
Oh it's from one of those lame Steven Segal movies, Under Siege. The one on the train. One of Hubby's. Not mine...lol...
ReplyDeleteThe one on the train. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe transporter movies, the one in the car.;)
